With over 30 years of dance teaching experience; Tailfeatherdance provides young adult dancers with additional learning needs a creative platform to explore dance and develop dance, movement and performance skills in different genres.


Tailfeatherdance believes in promoting inclusivity, celebrating

diversity and widening participation within the performing arts.

Tailfeatherdance is committed to providing quality

teaching provision within a person-centred approach

to develop each artists dance and performance skills.

Since 2017, Tailfeatherdance has provided opportunities for its dancers to study Choreography, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Street Dance, Ballroom and Latin, and Dance Fitness.

I am an Aussie, wife and mother. I love spending time with family, friends, travel, always somewhere new to explore and long country walks with my cocker spaniel Daisy.

I used to be a professional dancer so I really enjoy helping with Imogen’s classes. Also, my daughter and son-in-law attend the class.

I recently retired after 30 years as a police officer and I now have a new passion which is supporting the awesome Tailfeather dancers and helping with the social media.

MARIETTE - Volunteer Dance Support 
Mother of three, the youngest dances with Tailfeatherdance. I work as a yoga teacher and educational support assistant in a SEN secondary school.  I have a background as a contemporary dancer/teacher and occupational therapist. Assisting at Tailfeather brings it all together and it’s inspiring watching the creativity and talent of the young dancers
